I arrived at this school a little bit after Thanksgiving break. Mrs. Tomlinson was my homeroom teacher and she almost NEVER showed me how she likes things to be done in her classroom- and when I did something wrong, she would embarrass me while all my peers are in the room. Mr Hagermoser was one of my favorite teachers, and actually cared about my education and myself as a person. Dr Evans was rude. Whatever 'accent' she speaks with is not understandable. I didn't know what she was saying half of the time. She did not learn my name until my mom came to complain about her calling me 'new girl' the first few weeks after I arrived to the school. She barely taught me any math, the math that I actually remember is from the school I attended before I went to Overhills, or one of Dr. Evan's substitutes. She is COMPLETELY disrespectful to the children. I have seen her on many occasions basically screaming in a child's face, beating on their desk in frustration, and telling us to 'Shut up' nearly every day. Mrs. Young is another one of my few favorite teachers at Overhills. She also genuinely cared about my learning, and is very polite if you act the same way to her. Mrs. Ronald is the last on my list of favored teachers. She was my gym teacher, but it by far my all time favorite. She understands when you're trying your best, and that your best is all you got. She was EXTREMELY nice to me, and made me feel more comfortable in my first few weeks at this unwelcoming school. By the way, there is no nurse at this school. I thought that was a little unethical. As for the students, for lack of a better word, are ghetto. There are fights, people high that go to school, kids walking out of class, obscenities, and more disgusting behavior. The whole year, I sat back and observed this school's atmosphere. It's not a good place for a child. My first few days, they all seemed nice to me. They talked to me, and invited me to join their conversations. They eventually stopped inviting me. I found my own group of friends who were very sweet to me in my short time at this purely disgraceful school. There are no mirrors in the bathrooms, no dressing out for gym class, teachers who sometimes don't show up to a day of school, and if they do, they could possibly be very late arriving, leaving the students standing outside the classroom for a good 15 minutes after the students are released to go to their homeroom. Please, take this advice from a student who attended the school; do not make your child go through this hell.
this place sucks the foods bad teacher yell all the time
the only good teachers are Mr Crain ( 8th) Mrs Duantain(AVID) and Ms Young (8th)The PE teacher are cool too
The School is bad, only 2 of my teachers are actually nice. My 2nd core teacher ripped up a kids homework for helping another student. There is a lot of gross drawings on the wall, the bathroom have no soap so that why kids are getting sick. I have to bring my own lunch box because a lot of my friends are saying the food sucks!
oms has great teachers but can improve in lunch also but so far i am not liking it also oms can improve in the office staff they can be more nice the front office woman is very rude and seems as if she does not want to be there also oms can improve on there bathrooms there is no soap writeing on stall walls and there is always no soap and paper towels in the 6th 7th grade hallways also oms has a very sad outside bathroom area there is wasp nest by the door and its very dirty also the boy deserve a better football field then what we have overall this school needs some type of order.
DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL..... Overhills middles sucks ! One time , 2 sixth grade teachers were arguing across the halls in a different laungauge VERY LOUD
